SVXLink Repeater & Gateway Behaviour

Overview

SVXLink Repeater & Gateway's uses both a monitor talk group (TG) and a priority talk group to manage traffic efficiently.

Monitor Talk Group

Allows the repeater to listen to a talk group while idle so users can hear activity without manually selecting it.

Priority Talk Group

When activity appears on the priority TG, the repeater automatically switches to it. This ensures important traffic is always heard first.

Local RF Activity

• Local transmissions take highest priority
• Prevents interruptions from talk groups
• Recent RF keeps repeater focused locally

Idle Behaviour

• If no RF activity, repeater may switch to priority TG
• Monitor TG audio can be interrupted

1. Local RF transmissions
2. Priority TG
3. Monitor TG
